Year 6 Residential- Day Five

Our final day is coming to a close…
The children enjoyed their final breakfast with the special edition of an advent chocolate. They had to pack carefully to ensure they remembered everything before we left for our final activity.
We spent the morning at The Big Pit, where the children were lifted down into an old working mine. After a tour underground, they explored the more recent caving experiences through an interactive simulation.
We are now aboard the bus for the final journey home. It was nice to enjoy our last lunch together as two schools, although it clearly demonstrated how much the children had enjoyed each others’ company and felt more like one school.
Thank you so much for taking your time to visit the blog this week- the children have thoroughly enjoyed hearing from you and are looking forward to seeing you all and telling you about their adventures.
A special thanks to all the wonderful staff at Govilon who have made this week “the best week ever”.
Thank you
